Operating block
In total, the operating block has 6 operating rooms. All of them are designed for open and minimally invasive interventions, the sixth is an angiographic operating room equipped with a powerful latest-generation angiograph from Siemens - for performing minimally invasive intravascular interventions for the diagnosis and treatment of cerebral vascular pathology and other diseases of the central nervous system. The operating block is equipped with all the necessary surgical and diagnostic equipment of the latest generation, modern multifunctional operating tables, ceiling anesthetic and surgical consoles.
All operating rooms have modern neurosurgical microscopes from Zeiss and Leica with the ability to determine blood flow through the vessels during surgery and identify areas of tumors that are not visible in the normal light spectrum. Ultrasonic destructors Soering, power units and tool kits Aesculap, coagulation systems Storz and Erbe, medical laser KLS Martin, frameless navigation stations Radionix, endoscopic equipment Storz and Aesculap, C-arms Siemens with the possibility of 3D modeling allow to perform the whole range of neurosurgical interventions in pathology of the central and peripheral nervous system, pathology of the spine, neurological diseases requiring surgical intervention. The use of the station for monitoring the activity of the brain and spinal cord, as well as the peripheral nervous system of the Nicolet company during operations allows to minimize or completely eliminate additional trauma to functionally significant structures of the central nervous system, which improves the results of surgical treatment and improves the quality of life of patients in the postoperative period.
A special ventilation system is the main element of the prevention of nosocomial purulent-septic diseases. Directed laminar air flow prevents air flows from neighboring rooms from flowing into the operating room. Such operating rooms are classified as rooms of the highest cleanliness category according to the accepted scale of clean room assessment. Due to strict zoning into "sterile" and "non-sterile" parts, the risk of non-sterile objects entering the operating rooms is completely eliminated. Each operating room is a completely isolated system of rooms and air ducts with a built-in filter and disinfection unit. Equipping the operating rooms with a set of modern medical equipment ensures the performance of surgical interventions of any complexity. The combination of modern capabilities for ensuring sterility in the operating block using the entire range of equipment and instruments of the latest generation improves the quality of surgical care, reduces the risk of complications, reduces the time the patient stays in the clinic and, as a result, improves the patient's quality of life in the postoperative period. About 2,500 neurosurgical operations are performed in the operating department per year.
All employees of our operating block represent a single team, the purpose of which is to provide all types of neurosurgical interventions. All people involved in the operations - surgeons, operating room nurses, anesthesiologists, anesthesiologists and orderlies - are a single entity, a complex organized mechanism, united by love for their profession and a single goal - to do everything in their power and possible to help our patients.
Head of the operating department - Dr. Serik Karibay, neurosurgeon of the highest category, Professor of the National Center for Neurosurgery.
