Residency

In JSC ‘RSCN’ resident trainees in specialty ‘Neurosurgery, including children’s neurosurgery’ are trained. Duration of the study is 4 years.

The training is carried out in accordance with national education standards for residency approved and put into effect by the Decree of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 387 dd. July29, 2009, and model curriculum approved by the Decree of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 916 dd. November 23, 2010. Educational-methodical documentation of residency training is carried out according to the Instructive Letter № 8 dd. April 27, 2010, ‘On the development of educational and training material in the organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan that offer training in residency.’ At the end of each course control of knowledge of the residents is held. The results of oral questioning or testing are recorded in examination reports and in a gradebooks (checklists) of residents. Every six months, residents are to submit a progress report.
